Together with Na’Lu’Um Cacao Institute, an association of local Maya cacao farmers, they have supplied thousands of free saplings to these farmers. And they support them with training and micro microfinance. Around 204 cacao-producing families now have a steady, reliable source of income, thanks to this initiative. So they are able to sell their beans at a fair price and to help them grow their farming operations. And they can provide a better life for their families.
